The Pathfinders would be recommended to InBite by homeless programs, shelters, and organizations that we partner with. The pathfinders will be matched up with the guides based on similar interests/ availability.

We ensure safety for the Pathfinder through an in-depth application process. The Guide would be someone who can relate to the individual. College students- if ready, will be paired up with youth up to the ages of 16. We ensure safety for the Guide by requiring the pathfinder to be recommended by a program/ shelter that could vouch for them.

The communication platform would be provided by InBite with features such as turning off the app during certain hours. Since the communication will be tracked on our domain, we will run daily scans to identify and address any harmful, unhealthy, or threatening engagement occurring the relationship will be suspended until we check up on both parties.

The time commitment will be determined by you and the location will be determined by your current place of residence.

As a Guide you would have resources based on their needs- such as contacts for trusted counseling centers, rehabilitation programs, health centers, etc. Your responsibility is to connect your Pathfinder to resources and to encourage your person to be consistent in utilizing their resources.

The level/ length of the commitment would be determined by you and your Pathfinder but we are not expecting to put a timeline on it the same way we don't put timelines on friendships.
